Have your say - HMO's
From March 2012, landlords have been required to seek Planning permission to rent out their property to three or more unrelated people as an HMO (House of Multiple Occupation).
Nottingham City Council is now carrying out a consultation on a proposal to require additional licensing on HMO's in certain designated areas, which includes The Park. Licensing would require landlords to take steps to manage their properties effectively, limiting common problems caused by HMO's such as noise, bins left out, accumulation of refuse, anti-social behaviour, housing disrepair, etc.
We urge you to get involved in this consultation on the proposed licensing - you can complete a simple online survey at www.nottinghamcity.gov.uk/hmoconsultation or obtain more details from engage@nottinghamcity.gov.uk
The Consultation ends on 20th May 2013.
